I used to buy a convenient six-pack of canned tomato sauce. Now it’s a space-saving four-pack at over the six-pack price. I drink a brand of coffee my relatives in Seattle like – coffee snobs. It’s a smaller quantity for more money than it used to be. My favorite snack crackers come in the same size box with an inner package that, surprise, has fewer crackers.
One day I’m going to go to the store and the prices and quantities of these items will be as they were. At the checkout counter, my food cost will reflect the “old” prices for the “old” product size. And the Easter Bunny will be there bagging my groceries. Everybody loves bunnies.
