Tuesday, Feb. 14

12:50 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of being under the influence on the highway and obstructing government operations after he was allegedly found standing in the road, blocking traffic.

5:35 p.m.: A woman was remanded from Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a charge of harassment.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

1:20 a.m.: A woman was served with a warrant for failure to comply at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:45 a.m.: A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on two warrants for failure to comply.

8:45 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 26000 block of County Road P on a warrant for domestic violence and violation of a protection order. Deputies also served him with a warrant for contempt of court after he showed aggression and refused to cooperate with the arresting officers.

10:32 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores on an active warrant.

6:52 p.m.: A man was pulled over near mile marker 26 on U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of DUI. Because he was Native American, his case was given to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Friday, Feb. 17

12:40 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4 p.m.: A woman was arrested near mile marker 21 on U.S. Highway 160 after a deputy said she nearly crashed head-on into his vehicle while driving in the wrong lane. Because she was a Native American, a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer arrested her on two failure to appear warrants for previous traffic offenses.

Saturday, Feb. 18

10:09 p.m.: A woman reported seeing people who were trying to break into her house in the 11000 block of U.S. Highway 491. When deputies responded, there was no one at the property. The woman admitted she sometimes sees people who aren’t there, and gave the deputies a bag of drug paraphernalia, including a syringe hidden in a Book of Mormon, “to be destroyed.” No charges were filed.

Sunday, Feb. 19

2:21 a.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 300 block of North Broadway on suspicion of DUI.

11 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 13000 block of County Road 28 on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence and possession of a weapon as a previous offender. His girlfriend claimed he had hit her with a table as part of a pattern of abuse.

Monday, Feb. 20

9:52 a.m.: A woman reported an incident of criminal mischief in the 14000 block of County Road 26. A mailbox, valued at $50, was knocked off its post, spilling mail into a ditch.

2:10 p.m.: A man was cited for driving under restraint in the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

6:23 p.m.: A woman turned herself in to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

2:51 a.m.: A vehicle was towed from a residence in the 21000 block of County Road E as evidence in a hit-and-run case in San Juan County, Utah. The case remains under investigation.
