Wednesday, Feb. 1

1:49 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 10 block of West Main Street on a failure to appear warrant after he was pulled over for expired registration.

9:41 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

11:32 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

11:38 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

Thursday, Feb. 2

11:52 a.m.: A man received a summons for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

2:03 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1300 block of Jackson Street on suspicion of driving with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender.

2:47 p.m.: A woman received a summons for owning too many dogs without a city license in the 600 block of South Washington Street. A neighbor had complained about barking from the five dogs in the residence, and responding officers noticed the two dogs that were kept outside had no food or water.

7:26 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1 block of North Mildred Road on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

8:28 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

Friday, Feb. 3

9:38 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a failure to appear warrant for a local felony.

10:41 a.m.: A man received a summons for an open container violation and possession of alcohol in Cortez City Park on 802 E. Main St.

5:33 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of North Harrison Street on suspicion of disturbing the peace after he allegedly yelled that he was going to kill another man who he claimed had raped his wife.

6 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of North Elm Street on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, failure to drive in a single lane and child abuse. He was pulled over for driving north in the southbound lane and appeared confused, talking to his wife, who was not present, and asking what city he was in. Two small children were riding in the back seat, and two packages of marijuana products were also found in the vehicle. The man’s wife drove from Monticello to pick up the children at the police station.

8:56 p.m.: A man was arrested outside Hong Kong Restaurant on 332 W. Main St. on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

10:41 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Elm Street on suspicion of domestic violence and third-degree assault after his boyfriend claimed he had punched him several times during an argument, causing injuries to the boyfriend’s face.

Saturday, Feb. 4

11:14 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor.

Sunday, Feb. 5

10:29 a.m.: A man was arrested in Cortez City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions.

6:40 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on suspicion of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and illegal possession of a weapon after he allegedly injured another man by hitting him in the head. A switchblade knife was found in his pocket.

Monday, Feb. 6

9:12 a.m.: A man was served a failure to appear warrant for a local misdemeanor at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:47 p.m.: A man was cited for trespassing at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St.

9:02 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 600 block of South Washington Street on suspicion of violating a protection order.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

3:45 p.m.: A woman was cited for disturbing the peace at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after allegedly screaming at another woman’s children in the parking lot.

5:38 p.m.: A man was arrested for disturbing the peace outside Kemper Elementary School, 550 E. Montezuma Ave., after he allegedly got into a fight with another man while parents were picking up their children at the school.

8:06 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue on suspicion of third-degree assault and underage consumption of ethyl alcohol after she allegedly tried to beat up another woman.
