Organizers are seeking paid staff and volunteers to help put on the festival

The Dolores River Fest will help usher in the summer with a full day of music, food and family fun at the Joe Rowell Park on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. until dark.

“This year the Dolores River Festival grounds will extend to the river's edge, as it grows bigger and better with all day events in Joe Rowell Park,” organizers said. “This community and family-oriented event features numerous vendors, events in and along our beautiful river, great food and drink, and best of all, superb music by national and local acts all afternoon and into the evening.”

The festival, which is hosted by Greater Dolores Action, will feature eight bands on two stages, beginning with Superhex on the river stage at 11 a.m. and ending with Easy Jim on the main stage at 8:50 p.m.

The day will also feature various food vendors, who are still yet to be announced, wine and beer, children’s activities, free raft rides and more. There is also camping and RV parking available for those who wish to stay near the part.

Vendor and sponsor positions are still open for those who wish to either sponsor the event or host a vending booth with a potential reach of around 2,000 people, and there were nearly four vendors last year.

The festival is also seeking four individuals to fill paid positions.

Registration is available online at the Dolores River Fest website, and payment is due Friday, May 24 at vendor registration’s closing.

Tickets are $30 per person 13 and older online and $35 at the gate. Children 12 years old and younger can attend for free.

Festival organizers have also provided a discount code for this year’s festival. The code 24DRFEST can be used at checkout for $5 off a ticket order, with a maximum of four code uses.

Those who wish to get closer to the music action can buy VIP backstage passes for $95 per person.

RV parking without hookups is $50 per night and tent camping is $15 per night.

The schedule for the band performances is:

  • Superhex on the river stage at 11 a.m.
  • The Burnsville Band on the river stage at 12:05 p.m.
  • Two Faces West on the main stage at 1:10 p.m.
  • Little Wilderness on the river stage at 2:55 p.m.
  • Taylor Scott Band on the main stage at 4 p.m.
  • Desiderata on the river stage at 5:40 p.m.
  • Peach Street Revival on the main stage at 7 p.m.
  • Easy Jim on the main stage at 8:50 p.m.

Two of the paid would entail running security all day, and the other two would be backstage crew for the performing musical acts. Both positions would work for approximately 11 hours. Those who are interested can reach out to Scott Clow at (970) 560-3546 or scott@greaterdoloresaction.org.
