Thursday, Dec. 7, was a day to remember what happened at Pearl Harbor.

What would all those sailors entombed in the sunken USS Arizona think about our country right now? What would they think of the invasions of our southern borders, while our government does nothing to defend it? What would they think of a president bought and paid for by the Chinese Communist Party?

What would they think about the demoralization and downward spiral of our country right now?

What would they think about the massive debt that our children and grandchildren have to shoulder for the rest of their lives? What would they think about the fentanyl and child-trafficking going on?

Is this what the Greatest Generation on Earth fought and died for? Is this the country that our forefathers fought to give us?

A recent letter writer is right. If we don’t value our kids enough to learn to speak up and stand up for what is right, we deserve what we get. The loss of our republic.
