In years past, I had the honor of volunteering as an election judge. I successfully completed a training class, then worked beside fellow volunteers who I considered my friends and neighbors. We did it because we love our country and believe in the election process.

Not one of us were there to ensure our candidate won. Since I have been old enough to vote, I have. Does my candidate always win? No. I did then, and still do believe in free and fair elections.

To my fellow election judge volunteers, thank you for your service. It was a privilege to work beside you.
