Saturday, Nov. 26

4:37 p.m.: A man turned in a backpack that contained hiking gear and a handgun that he’d found in the Sand Canyon parking lot, 12489 County Road G.

12:08 p.m.: A man who lives in the 24000 block of County Road L reported that he might have been a victim of Craig’s List fraud after he sent three $500 gift cards to a man who offered to sell him a John Deere Gator utility vehicle.

Sunday, Nov. 27

6:25 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Cortez Public Library on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after an altercation with a woman at a Dolores residence in the 14200 block of County Road 27 that reportedly began with an argument over batteries for a remote.

10 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence at a residence in the 7300 block of County Road 41 after he allegedly assaulted a woman at a residence in the 40800 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, Nov. 28

4:42 a.m.: A man who had pulled off County Road L into Geer Memorial Park was arrested on suspicion of driving with a canceled license, driving under the influence of drugs, driving without insurance, driving with an expired license plates, driving with defective tail lights, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

12:22 a.m.: A man reported that two women had stolen a cellphone while visiting his residence in the 6600 block of County Road 25. A deputy served a summons for theft to a woman at a residence in the 200 block of E. Seventh St. and a summons for theft to a woman at a residence in the 24000 block of County Road F.5.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

4:41 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after he turned himself in at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:41 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:12 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after he turned himself in at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:33 p.m.: A man was arrested at his residence in the 600 block of N. Ash St. on felony warrants for possessing or distributing controlled substances, a misdemeanor warrant for using a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor warrant for possessing an illegal weapon.

Wednesday, Nov. 30

9:27 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

10:47 a.m.: A woman was arrested on two warrants at the Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

8:30 a.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:10 p.m.: A man was served two warrants while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:42 p.m.: A deputy entered a man’s residence in the 23900 block of County Road M and arrested him on a warrant.
