Wednesday, Nov. 23

9 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

10:04 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:01 p.m.: A man reported that his truck had been scratched at Wal-Mart, but video surveillance revealed that no one had approached his truck in the store parking lot.

2:37 p.m.: A man was arrested, kicking and cussing, for disturbing the peace after he refused to leave the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

5:08 p.m.: A woman was served a summons for shoplifting $18.98 in cosmetics at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

Thursday, Nov. 24

2:39 p.m.: A man was pulled over in the 700 block of South Broadway for a broken taillight and arrested for driving with a revoked license because of a prior DUI and cited for the broken light.

2:26 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after a report of “a suspicious person.”

Friday, Nov. 25

12:54 a.m.: A man who was found lying intoxicated on the sidewalk in the 10 block of S. Beech was arrested and cited for disturbing the peace based on his behavior at Southwest Memorial Hospital.

1:35 p.m.: A break-in was reported at Mesa Elementary School. No thing was reported stolen, but damage to the door was estimated to be $500.

3:30 p.m.: A resident in the 700 block of Brookside Ave. reported that four windows stored in his backyard had been damaged or destroyed by a BB gun.

4:45 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St.

10:25 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants at a residence after he was found intoxicated in the 800 block of S. Chestnut St.

11:09 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants after he was stopped for an undisclosed driving violation in the 400 block of W. Third St.

Saturday, Nov. 26

1:49 p.m.: A man was pulled over in the 300 block of S. Beech St. for failing to use a turn signal and arrested on suspicion of DWAI and driving with a revoked license.

6:18 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating bond conditions that barred him from consuming alcohol after he was found on a bench in City Park, 802 E. Main St.

5:20 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault after he allegedly injured a nurse at Southwest Memorial Hospital.

Sunday, Nov. 27

8:35 a.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:46 p.m.: A man was arrested on four warrants in Parque de Vida, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., after he was found lying “passed out” in the grass.

10:10 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants after he was pulled over for an undisclosed traffic violation in the 200 block of W. Second St.

Monday, Nov. 28

11:06 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County District Court, 109 W. Main St.

12:21 p.m.: A man reported a vehicle break-in in the Wal-Mart parking lot and the theft of about $30 in change. Video surveillance pointed to a passenger in what was believed to be a red Ford Fusion.

2 p.m.: A man reported a vehicle break-in in the Wal-Mart parking lot and the theft of three phones worth $450.

1:20 p.m.: A man was served a summons for shoplifting after he allegedly attempted to walk out of Wal-Mart wearing a pair of unpurchased boots valued at $28.84.

7:43 p.m.: Two men were arrested on active warrants at Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, Nov. 29

10:42 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for disturbing the peace and violating bond conditions that barred him from consuming alcohol.

1:31 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after he was found hiding in a closet at a residence in the 600 block of S. Washington St.

2:12 p.m.: A woman was arrested on three warrants after she was spotted walking on Mildred Road at Montezuma Ave.

4:43 p.m.: A man was arrested outside a residence in the 200 block of N. Park St. on suspicion of first-degree trespass and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a garage, breaking a house window and breaking windows on two vehicles parked outside. Damage was estimated at $1,200.
