School in Shiprock ‘was great’

I have two grandsons in the Montezuma-Cortez school system. During the pandemic, they attended school for a year in Shiprock in the Navajo school system. No remote learning, on site every day!

They had about 30 minutes of homework every night, attended classes Monday through Friday. And to my surprise, every night they both went onto the school’s website to do their homework, where it was immediately corrected and all right and wrong answers were verbally explained online. I thought it was great!

Is it no wonder the Cortez school system is so poor? Four-day weeks, absolutely no homework ever. (Let’s make the teachers’ jobs easier; the hell with the kids learning.) No website assistance at all.
