As Mother’s Day draws near, in all probability like many of you, I have begun walking down memory lane. Yes, it’s a time to ponder the incredible impact our mothers have had on our lives.

I lost my mom in a tragic mishap nearly 60 years ago, but she is dearly remembered. She loved her grandchildren so, and found joy in every day she was a grandma. She only got to enjoy that title for seven short years. Still miss you, Mom.

Gentle hugs go out to all who have lost their moms.

In celebrating Mother’s Day in 2024, let’s reflect on the profound impact mothers have on our lives. For the most part, through their unconditional love, sacrifices and unwavering support, they shape us into the best versions of ourselves.

As we express our love and gratitude on this special day, let’s not forget to cherish every moment with our mothers, and make them feel cherished and honored. That said, my wish is for a joyous day to all the moms, stepmoms, surrogate moms, mother figures, moms-to-be, as well as male figures that are doing both mother and father tasks. Every mother is amazing in her/his own way.

Happy Mother’s Day to all “mommies” out there, may your day be filled with joy, love and appreciation. Here’s to celebrating the beautiful bond between mothers and their children, today and always. We are born of love; love is our mother.
