Wednesday, Dec. 13

8:04 a.m.: Manaugh Elementary, 300 E. Fourth St., reported a broken window and estimated its loss at $400.

9:09 a.m.: A resident in the 300 block of South Elm Street. reported that automobile keys were taken from her two vehicles, which were parked in her driveway.

9:50 a.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants and on suspicion of stealing a bottle of liqueur from the Cork and Bottle store, 443 E. Main St.

1:21 p.m.: A driver was arrested on a warrant for a local misdemeanor after he was pulled over in the 700 block of Brookside Drive and given a warning for expired license plates.

4:16 p.m.: A woman was cited for failing to show a dog license and for failing to lawfully maintain her animal’s yard after an officer repeatedly found large amounts of feces in a small pen at a residence in the 200 block of W. Third St.

Thursday, Dec. 14

1:26 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing and domestic violence at South Park Street and East Second Street after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend’s life in an alley near their residence in the 300 block of East Third Street. An officer drew his Taser during the arrest. The man was armed with a folding knife.

12:38 a.m.: A man was pulled over for driving with faulty tail lights in 10 block of East Montezuma Avenue and arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and failing to provide insurance.

1:33 p.m.: A man was arrested behind the Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St., on a warrant for a local misdemeanor.

1:11 p.m.: A woman who visited the police station, 608 N. Park St., reported a lost or stolen license plate.

Friday, Dec. 15

11:25 a.m.: A man seen talking to himself and pacing in Centennial Park, 601 N. Mildred Road, was questioned, then arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana.

10:37 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for a local misdemeanor.

6:03 p.m.: A Sears employee reported that a woman stole a $200 tool set from the store at 1 E. Main St., but no one saw her take it.

6:36 p.m.: A resident of an apartment in the 1000 block of South Chestnut Street Court reported that his tan-colored Boxer puppy named Terri had been stolen.

10:57 p.m.: A woman was pulled over for driving with an unlit headlight in the 300 block of South Broadway and arrested on a warrant for a local misdemeanor.

11:09 p.m.: Two women reported an apparent break-in at a residence in the 300 block of South Linden Street, but said no property was missing.

11:53 p.m.: A passerby reported that a yellow Camaro had been broken into in the 10 block of E. Main Street.

Saturday, Dec. 16

11:15 a.m.: Three men were cited after an assault report. A resident of an apartment in the 600 block of South Washington Street was cited for disturbing the peace after he reported a confrontation with another man in the 500 block of South Linden Street. The South Linden man also was cited for disturbing the peace. A third man, who approached the responding officer at the South Washington apartment, was cited for interfering with an officer.

1:33 p.m.: A driver backed into a car in the Subway parking lot, 1219 E. Main St. Both drivers were insured, and no one was injured.

5:46 p.m.: A man who was found lying down near the Centennial Park restrooms, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., was arrested on a warrant for a local misdemeanor, cited with possessing alcohol in the park, and medically cleared at Southwest memorial Hospital because he was intoxicated.

5:37 p.m.: A woman reported that she had lost her wallet, which contained credit cards, a parks pass, a driver’s license and about $40 in cash.

Sunday, Dec. 17

12:20 a.m.: A woman was pulled over in the 100 block of West Main Street for driving with unlit lights and arrested for driving as a habitual offender with a revoked license. Her mother later picked up her daughter and vehicle.

11:45 a.m.: An automobile driver and a horseback rider were cited with disorderly conduct after an altercation during a cattle drive near the Cortez Cemetery on U.S. Highway 160. According to police, belligerents and a witness, the auto driver failed to heed directions from the cattle driver, the two exchanged words and commenced to fighting. The auto driver then went to the police station to complain of assault. The horseback rider chased his horse down, and continued with the cattle drive. The police officer determined he was in county territory, but went ahead with the inquiry.
