9:19 a.m.: A man who was wanted on an active warrant turned himself in at the Montezuma County jail.

9:59 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court.

10:54 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court.

1:18 p.m.: A man was arrested while walking eastbound in the 28200 block of U.S. 160 on suspicion of shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

1:30 p.m.: A woman reported that her .38 Special handgun, worth $780, had been stolen from her residence in the 300 block of W. Coronado Ave.

2:36 p.m.: A man was cited in the 1300 block of E. Main St. for letting his dog run at large near the Cortez Public Library.

3:24 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court.

6:15 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at Wal-Mart, in the 1800 block of E. Main St., and given a no-trespass order from Safeway after he allegedly shoplifted items from the grocery store.

10:05 p.m.: An officer planned to seek an arrest warrant for a woman on suspicion of trespassing and theft after a vehicle break-in near S. Valley Road and E. Second St.

Thursday, July 21

10:37 a.m.: A man reported that he had lost his wallet containing $400 at Sonic, in the 400 block of S. Broadway.

1:56 p.m.: A male driver was arrested on an active warrant in the 700 block of E. Second St.

2:46 p.m.: A woman was awakened, then arrested in City Park on an active warrant.

4:30 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 200 block of S. Chestnut St. on suspicion of driving 45 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main St., DUI, DUI per se, reckless driving and child abuse.

7:01 p.m.: A man was cited for third-degree assault after an altercation at Pizza Hut, in the 1100 block of E. Main St.

Friday, July 22

2:43 p.m.: An officer cited a woman for possessing an open container in City Park, and threw away her bottles of lemon extract, which contained alcohol.

3:42 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma County Court.

4:38 p.m.: Three men were cited for disturbing the peace after an altercation in Montezuma Park, and two were taken to the Southwest Memorial emergency room for treatment.

6:22 p.m.: A driver was pulled over in the 10 block of E. Second St. and cited for failing to yield to traffic. Her passenger was arrested on two active warrants and for possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony.

11:47 p.m.: A woman who allegedly disobeyed a stop sign was arrested on an active warrant in the 10 block of N. Madison St.

Saturday, July 23

1:37 a.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant, and a vial of meth was confiscated as evidence in the 100 block of S. Elm St.

3:52 a.m.: A male pedestrian was arrested on an active warrant in the 600 block of N. Park St.

5:09 p.m.: A male pedestrian was arrested on an active warrant in the 700 block of E. Main St., and cited for carrying a concealed weapon (a knife).

7:47 p.m.: A woman who pulled into a gas station in the 400 block of State St. was arrested on an active warrant.

9:15 p.m.: A man was pulled over at E. Empire and Cherry streets and cited for DWAI and driving in the center lane.

Sunday, July 24

12:25 a.m.: A woman was arrested on an active warrant and for DUI, driving without a valid license, weaving and an open container of alcohol in the 10 block of S. Chestnut St.

10:03 a.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at Livwell, in the 1800 block of E. Main St.

12:46 p.m.: A man was pulled over after allegedly running a red light at N. Sligo and E. Main streets and arrested on an active warrant and cited for driving with a suspended license, failing to obey a traffic signal, and wearing no seatbelt.

7:10 p.m.: A woman reported that she suspected her sister or boyfriend was stealing her medication from her residence in the 500 block of S. Madison St.

5:57 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating a protection order in the 1200 block of Montelores St.

10:57 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, failing to present proof of insurance and failing to use a turn signal in the 1400 block of N. Mildred St.

Monday, July 25

2:26 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace after a fight in the 400 block of E. Coronado St.

3:06 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating bond conditions and contempt of court after being intoxicated in Montezuma County Court.

3:55 p.m.: A man standing at Harrison and E. Main streets was arrested on an active warrant.

7:26 p.m.: A woman who turned herself in at the Montezuma County jail was arrested on an active warrant.

7:36 p.m.: A woman was arrested at a residence in the 800 block of N. Edith St. and served with a felony hold for taking meth into the county jail.
