Thursday, July 7

12:07 a.m. Officers determined that reports of fighting at Maverick Country Store, 455 N. State St., were unfounded.

3:17 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after he was pulled over for having trailer brake lights that did not function in the 300 block of South Broadway.

4:50 p.m. A woman was cited for theft after she attempted to shoplift $488.86 in goods from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

5:40 p.m. Officers observed a man violating a protection order by being with a woman in the 2300 block of East Main Street. The man was taken into custody. The woman was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

8:25 p.m. A man reported that another man violated two protection orders by drinking at Angel’s End Zone, 311 N. Broadway, and by being near the reporting man’s home. An officer sought a warrant for the man.

Friday, July 8

7:56 p.m. An employee reported that a large Penske truck backed into an awning at Best Western Turquoise, 535 E. Main St. An officer attempted to locate the truck and driver.

10:09 p.m. An accident occurred when a trailer backed into a car in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St. No citations were issued.

Saturday, July 9

12:30 a.m. A woman reported that a television and PlayStation 4 were stolen from her home while she was on a walk in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street. There were no leads.

6:53 p.m. A woman was cited for trespassing at Cortez Plaza, 2220 E. Main St.

Monday, July 11

2:32 a.m. An employee reported that a man broke into Plaza Laundry, 1419 E. Main St., damaging the window.

8:47 a.m. A man ran a stop sign and his car collided with a truck at the intersection of Linden and Pinon streets. The man was cited for disregarding a stop sign.

2:24 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

6 p.m. A woman was cited after her neighbor reported that her dog was aggressive and often at large, and that it defecates on his property and chews on his garden hoses in the 1700 block of East Montezuma Avenue.

8:56 p.m. A man in a wheelchair reported that he was assaulted outside City Market, 508 E. Main St.

9:49 p.m. A man was served three warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, July 12

1:44 a.m. A man was taken into custody on two warrants in the 2200 block of East Main Street.

9:34 a.m. A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:19 a.m. A man reported that someone kicked his truck in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St.

12:43 p.m. Two men were cited for having open containers at the park and trespass notices from Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., after they reportedly fought with knives at the park.

4:13 p.m. A man was arrested and cited for drunken driving, failing to provide proof of insurance, driving without a license, weaving and having an open container of alcohol in his car after he was pulled over for failing to maintain the lane in the 8000 block of Road 25.

6:12 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in the 1000 block of North Mildred Road.

Wednesday, July 13

1:37 a.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant near Cortez Middle School, 450 W. Second St.

9:25 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after he was reported for lying in the middle of the road in the 500 block of East Main Street.

10:33 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
