Thursday, June 9

5:03 a.m. A woman with outstanding warrants was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, then taken into custody.

8:47 a.m. A man was cited for indecent exposure after an officer witnessed him urinate at the Duck Pond, 515 N. Mildred Road.

12:18 p.m. A woman was cited for unsafe backing after she backed her car into a firetruck at Valley Sun Village, 700 E. Second St.

3:37 p.m. An intoxicated man was arrested and cited for harassment, third-degree assault, violation of a protection order and third-degree criminal trespass after he assaulted multiple people at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

7:38 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after he was reported for being heavily intoxicated at Conoco, 302 W. Main St. He was also issued summons for violating a protection order banning him from drinking.

9:14 p.m. A man who had a bottle of alcohol at Veteran’s Park, 830 E. Main St., was cited for possessing an open container and alcohol in a park.

9:15 p.m. A man was taken into custody on a warrant after he was reportedly involved in a fight at Veteran’s Park, 830 E. Main St.

Friday, June 10

1:32 a.m. A woman witnessed a car hit her neighbor’s car and leave the scene in the 500 block of N. Henry St. There were no further leads.

1:11 p.m. An officer tagged a vehicle that had been illegally parked over night in the 200 block of West First Street.

1:15 p.m. A man caused damage to a drive-thru car wash with his truck at Aqua Car Wash, 405 E. Main St.

1:57 p.m. A man was taken into custody on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:26 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in the 300 block of North Beech Street.

7:24 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after his brother reported him for being intoxicated in the 700 block of East Main Street.

8:54 p.m. An officer initiated pursuit of a driver who was traveling at a high rate of speed and was running stop signs in the 200 block of West Seventh Street. The officer called off the pursuit because the driver was driving dangerously.

11:49 p.m. A man was taken into custody and cited for drinking and driving, driving without a license and failing to maintain a single lane after an officer pulled him over for failing to maintain a single lane in the 1800 block of East Main Street.

Saturday, June 11

12:52 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing in the 1700 block of East Downey Avenue.

3:33 p.m. A man reported that he fell asleep at the wheel and might have hit something near The Bridge shelter, 735 N. Park St. He was cited for careless driving and destroying public property.

6:26 p.m. A woman was arrested and cited for drinking and driving, having an open alcohol beverage and failing to provide proof of insurance after she was pulled over for swerving in the 300 block of South Broadway.

8:54 p.m. A man was arrested and cited for drinking and driving after he was reported for reversing in the middle of the road near Pizza Hut, 1119 E. Main St.

10:33 p.m. A woman was arrested and cited for drinking and driving after she was pulled over for having expired registration in the 800 block of North Mildred Road.

Sunday, June 12

10:36 a.m. A man was cited for disturbing the peace and trespassing after he defecated near the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

11:55 a.m. A man was cited for third-degree assault after he reportedly hit another man with a rock near City Market, 508 E. Main St.

4:09 p.m. An intoxicated man was arrested in the 200 block of East Main Street for violation two protection orders: one banning him from drinking and the other banning him from being in contact with a woman he was with.

Monday, June 13

8:14 a.m. Someone reported graffiti at Parque de Vida, 400 N. Mildred Road. There were no leads or suspects.

8:50 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on three outstanding warrants at Handy Mart, 806 S. Broadway.

Tuesday, June 14

11:15 a.m. An intoxicated woman was taken into custody for violating a protection order banning her from drinking in the lower 100 block of West Driscoll Street.

12:39 p.m. A man who had just had dialysis was cited for careless driving after he crashed into a woman’s house in the lower 100 block of West Seventh Street.

12:58 p.m. A man was cited for shoplifting and given a trespass notice after he stole two cases of beer from City Market, 508 E. Main St.

2:35 p.m. A man was served two warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, June 15

6:47 a.m. A man was cited for shoplifting and was given a trespass notice after he allegedly stole a case of beer from Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.

7:28 a.m. A man was issued a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:23 a.m. An intoxicated man was arrested and cited for violating a protection order banning him from drinking after he was found lying down at the tennis courts in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

3:19 p.m. A woman reported that someone hit her car while it was parked at City Market, 508 E. Main St. There were no leads.

8:50 p.m. A man was cited for disturbing the peace after a woman reported him for being intoxicated in the 500 block of East Montezuma Avenue.

9:44 p.m. A woman was issued summons for menacing and harassment after she allegedly sent threatening text messages to another woman in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street.
