National Weather Service to offer storm-spotter training

The National Weather Service will offer free storm-spotter training sessions May 1-3 in Pagosa Springs, Durango and Cortez.

All trainings will start at 6 p.m. at these locations:

May 1, Archuleta County Office of Emergency Management, 777 County Road 600, Pagosa Springs.May 2, Exhibit Hall at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango.May 3, Montezuma County Sheriffâ€™s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez.An optional advanced training will follow the basic training in Durango.

Those interested in severe weather are welcome to attend all sessions.
