A local man was located Sunday evening after he went missing about 1 p.m. on Saturday while driving his green Honda four-wheeler.

A Silver Alert informed Facebook users Sunday that the man, identified as Jim Garlinghouse, 77, was missing and that he had health issues.

Garlinghouse’s son, Marc Garlinghouse, kept searchers and concerned family and friends updated on Facebook, saying that they were “actively driving roads and hiking various places” to try to find him.

They also asked that everyone in the vicinity keep an eye out for him and to contact them immediately if they had leads.

Garlinghouse was safely located about 4:30 p.m.

“Jim has been located!!! Thank you all so much from the bottom of all our hearts. We thank you, thank you, thank you!” the family’s Facebook post said.

It was not immediately clear where Garlinghouse was found or who located him.
