Mancos student is awarded a PEO continuing education grant

Allyn Marzulla, a resident of Mancos, has been awarded a Program for Continuing Education grant of $1,200 by the International Chapter PEO Sisterhood. She was sponsored by Chapter EV, Cortez.

PEO, a philanthropic educational organization, provides women with increased educational opportunities. The continuing education grant is for women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that will improve her marketable skills.

Marzulla graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2011, then returned to school last year with the goal of completing her nursing degree through Pueblo Community College.
