The Colorado State Board of Education is asking families across the state to complete a parent survey to help understand why parents select different schooling options and what systems and supports are used in the educating of their students. The survey is open until Aug. 31 and is open to all parents, even to parents of homeschooled students.
The survey was announced by the Colorado Department of Education and seeks input from families that utilize traditional public schools, charter schools, private schools, online programs and homeschooling. The responses given in the survey will help the State Board of Education in upcoming rulemaking and legislative priorities, information from CDE said.
Additionally, survey responses will help guide policymakers as they determine how to use state funding and resources for education in Colorado, no matter the education model being used.
“Your perspective is important. The more families who participate, the more accurately the survey will reflect the strength, opinions and needs of all communities across Colorado,” the CDE said.
