Norwood river runners Shiela and Craig Grother will be the featured guests at the Telluride Institute’s monthly Talking Gourds Stories & Poems series at the Lone Cone Library, 1455 Pinion St., in March.

The free event starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20. Stories & Poems follows a simple format, featured guests share stories or poems that are followed by a Q&A session and then community members are encouraged to participate in the “Gourd Circle.”

In a news release, Talking Gourds director Art Goodtimes said, “In addition to years of public service for both (the) federal and local governments, Shiela and Craig Grother have been premier river runners and have many stories to tell about the rafting life.”
