My husband is a retired disabled veteran. He served in the military for 23 years. We have been married for over 30 years and raised two children. My husband and our family have made many sacrifices for the love of our country and for the love of you: the American people. Freedom is not free.

If you are a veteran and need medical care, then you know veterans have died or suffered with an illness for months and years because of inadequate health care, and the time it takes for an appointment. You probably don't enjoy the three-hour trip to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center either.

In 2018, my husband began experiencing pain in his abdomen. It’s been nothing but a nightmare, getting an appointment for him. He recently had such a severe attack, I reached out to Lauren Boebert’s office. With her help and the help of Naomi Dobbs, my husband is scheduled for tests and treatment soon.

Why does it still take so long for veterans to receive care in a timely manner, even after the 2014 scandal showing the many deaths of veterans while waiting for appointments?

If this type of medical care were the same for everyone – that includes you and this administration – the outcry would spread like wildfire across this country.

Please fight for those who fought and died for your freedom. Vote Lauren Boebert!
