The Montezuma-Cortez school district Board of Education is set to conduct a candidate preparation course on Monday, July 28, starting at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the district’s boardroom at 400 N. Elm St.
Anne Keke, who serves as the board president of Aurora Public Schools and a member of the Colorado a member of the Association of School Boards, will lead the session as the guest facilitator.
The course, according to the district, is designed to offer professional development opportunities for board members, specifically focusing on the enhancement of skills that are needed to serve on a school board. There will be no public business addressed or any formal decision making.
The district shared that four or more board members may participate in the course alongside those who attend.
