Waste Management offers scholarships to Pueblo Community College

Waste Management Inc. is awarding a scholarship to one eligible applicant from each high school in Montezuma and Dolores counties.

The recipient will receive a one-time $500 award to attend Pueblo Community College. The application deadline is April 27.

“As your local trash and recycling company, Waste Management believes in giving back to the community,” said District Operations Manage, Jack Caviness. “We provide good-paying jobs and benefits to more than 30 men and women in our community, and this scholarship is a way to help young people get off to a good start.”

Eligibility is based on a few factors. Applicants must be a 2018 graduating senior from Southwest Open Charter School or Dolores, Dove Creek, Mancos or Montezuma-Cortez high schools. Applicants must attend Pueblo Community College in fall 2018, have a minimum 2.0 GPA and complete an application.

Students may apply online at WMColoradoScholarship.com
