Empire Electric Association’s members should seriously consider voting for Doug Sparks to represent District 1 in the June 19 Annual Meeting. It was my privilege to work with Doug for a majority of my 35-year career at the cooperative.
I worked with Doug from when he was the inspector on the 115KV Shell transmission system through his advancement to department head of Empire’s member services.
Doug has done it all from assisting members with high bill complaints, developing energy efficiency programs and working with the board in developing Empire’s first board strategic plan. He has a deep understanding of energy efficiency programs and Empire’s budget process.
Doug worked well with the membership, Empire’s staff and the board and will require very little to come up to speed on current matters. He would certainly have my vote!
