The Ocean of Mankind

The ocean crushes down in a constant roar

crushing rock, leaving sand on the shore.

With its power and majesty comes a cerebral calm.

Then the energy can be placed in your palm.

Connected as we are by the purity of water,

But the heat gets hotter and hotter.

Now we struggle among ourselves,

By the way of man found in books on our shelves.

We kill not for survival, but for greed or hate for a rival.

Tormented by rules and regulations, our minds lose focus and begin speculation.

Try to see beyond the corruption and lies . . . beware of its disguise.

And break free of your chains and ties.

No longer will you succumb to temptation and frustration.

Give hope to the future generation.

Move fluid like the water in a river.

When a dam comes try not to quiver.

Be patient, take your time, and you won’t get sucked in by the turbine.

For you don’t have to run and hide, when the ocean awaits on the other side.
