The Adult Education Center is offering two new classes in April

The Durango Adult Education Center, 701 Camino Del Rio, is offering two new community education classes: an intermediate Spanish book club class and a computer literacy class. The Spanish book club class cost is $75 plus the cost of the book, which can be purchased for as little as $5 on Amazon, and the registration deadline is April 3. The computer literacy class cost is $40 and the registration deadline is March 3. Call the Education Center to register at 970-385-4354.

Intermediate Spanish book club is open to those with conversational speaking skills and the ability to read Spanish. Students will be reading and discussing the book, “Ladron de la mente,” by Elias Miguel Munoz. This book is specifically written for learners of Spanish and geared toward those with high-beginning and low-intermediate Spanish speaking skills. The class is six weeks long 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursdays starting April 6 at the Durango Education Center.

The computer literacy class is open to those wanting to increase their confidence in basic computer skills. Class topics include computer functions, navigating the internet, recognizing viruses and spam, navigating email platforms and more. It also discusses the differences between Macs and Microsoft PCs, ensuring all users are familiar with both operating systems. The class is six weeks long and is on each from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Mondays starting April 3 at the Durango Education Center.
