Southwest Memorial hosts free course on living with diabetes

Southwest Memorial Hospital hosts a free course on living with diabetes on every Thursday from Feb. 1 through March 8 at 1-3:30 p.m.

The self-management program, “Healthier Living Colorado – Diabetes,” helps participants cope with fatigue, frustration, pain and stress often associated with diabetes. It was developed at Stanford University.

Who should participate?

Anyone who is dealing with an ongoing health condition is encouraged to participate. Participants should be comfortable in a group setting. Friends and family are also encouraged to attend.

When do classes meet?

The class meets once per week for six weeks. Each session is 2½ hours long.

What will I learn?

Many topics are covered to assist you with your overall health and well-being including:
