8:47 a.m. A deputy took a report from a man who had found a firearm in a ditch. The deputy took the report at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St. The firearm had been reported stolen in Arizona.

9:31 a.m. A deputy remanded a man from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Oct. 11

8:25 a.m. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the 26900 block of County Road M. Two men were involved in dispute with three women. According to one of the men, two of the women accused the men of “turning their ex-boyfriends into homosexuals.” According to one of the men, one of the women went outside and returned with a wooden bat and began swinging the bat, destroying things in the home. Among the items destroyed were an Italian grandfather clock, a circle wood frame for a mirror, a lamp and a cedar wood shelf. The woman also knocked down African masks that were on the wall. The man decided he did not want to press charges because planned to move to another state.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

11:30 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of North Third Street in Dolores about a complaint of criminal mischief. The deputy met a homeowner who showed him damage to a window on the south wall of the home. The damaged appeared to be from a BB gun. The deputy filed a report about the incident.

1:18 p.m. A deputy was called on a remand to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. A woman was arrested and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:32 p.m. A deputy was called to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., about an assault. The deputy filed a report about an altercation between two inmates. Only one of the men involved was willing to talk to the deputy. The deputy filed a report.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

6:40 a.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a male inmate in the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:49 a.m. A deputy served three active warrants to a male inmate in the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Oct. 17

8:57 a.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:45 p.m. A deputy served two active warrants to a man in the 25400 block of County Road S.6. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:35 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a female inmate in the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Oct. 19

10:16 a.m. A deputy was attempting to serve an active warrant to a person believed to be sleeping in “The Rock Yard,” 1739 E. Seventh St. The person could not be located. However, two men were discovered with weapons. The first man was discovered with a Colt AR-15 loaded with 20 bullets. The man was arrested on three active warrants and also arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and violation of a protection order. A second man was discovered with a pistol. In addition, ammunition was found in his possession. The man was arrested for possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and the man also had six active warrants.

4:59 p.m. A deputy was called to the 15500 block of Colorado Highway 145 about a report of a driver who had hit a fence with his vehicle. A man reported a person at an estate sale had hit the fence. The man identified as the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He declined to perform roadside sobriety checks, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

8:18 p.m. A deputy was called to the 15300 block of County Road CC about a possible overdose. A woman was not responding at a home. Emergency medical technicians administered Narcan to the woman. After the woman was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, she was arrested on two outstanding warrants and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

8:53 p.m. A deputy was called to the 20600 block of County Road W about a reported hit-and-run. A silver pickup appeared to have hit a van and pushed the van into five other cars. The driver of the pickup could not be identified.

Monday, Oct. 21

9:51 a.m. A deputy was called to the 34000 block of County Road M to serve an active warrant on a man. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
