Wednesday, Aug. 31

2:15 p.m.: A deputy and a mother of a Dolores student agreed that she would meet with a school principal and another mother to resolve issues relating to confrontations between their sons on a school bus.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

7:52 p.m.: A city employee reported the possible theft of security cameras at the Cortez Softball Complex at 24300 County Road G.2.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

11:16 a.m.: A juvenile was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief and given a no-trespass order after a dispute with the juvenile mother of a child he believes to be his daughter.

Monday, Sept. 12

4:45 p.m.: A man reported that someone has been distributing leaflets containing his personal and financial information as well as accusing him of personal problems.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

8:20 a.m.: A debit card that had been reported stolen in Farmington was found on U.S. 160 near County Road G was turned in at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office. Its owner and the investigating Farmington police officer were notified.

11:54 a.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after driving away from the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office following a visit to the front office.

4:15 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence after allegedly slashing a tire and pushing a woman in the 27600 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Thursday, Sept. 15

11:30 a.m.: A deputy attempted to find legal ownership of a backhoe that had been reported missing by a man in the 26000 block of County Road 40. The man said he had left the backhoe in the care of a mechanic who then died.

12:38 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, criminal mischief and domestic violence after leaving a residence on County Road P in Dolores with his juvenile daughter, despite a restraining order. He returned his daughter to the home, and later turned himself in at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office in Cortez.

Saturday, Sept. 17

9:15 p.m.: A juvenile boy who had been reported missing two days before, was returned home in Mancos.

4:15 p.m.: A man involved in a fight at the Montezuma County jail declined to press charges against a cellmate.

7:02 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after allegedly brandishing a sword during a dispute with his wife at a residence in on Seventh Street in Dolores.

Sunday, Sept. 18

10:30 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order after a domestic dispute in the 24300 block of County Road L.

6:48 p.m.: A deputy completed an accident report after a juvenile girl was injured in an ATV rollover near Forest Service Road 528 and Turkey Creek, in the Boggy Draw area outside Dolores.

Monday, Sept. 19

7:20 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant while in the lobby of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:14 p.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

12:50 p.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:10 p.m.: A woman was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Sept. 22

5:32 p.m.: A woman obtained a no-trespass order preventing her sister from her mother’s home in the 11700 block of County Road 24.2

4 p.m.: A woman was cited for driving 90 mph in a 65 mph zone of mile marker 13 of U.S. 160.

4 p.m.: A store sign was reported stolen at the Flying Pig store, 501 Central Ave., in Dolores.
