Friday, Feb. 12

6:30 p.m.: A deputy issued a warrant for the arrest of a man at a residence in the 30000 block of County Road H for failing to register as a sex offender.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

4:31 p.m.: A man was taken into custody at Montezuma County Court and remanded to the county jail.

3 p.m.: A woman in the 200 block of S. Fifth St. in Dolores reported that someone had “keyed” her van, resulting in $25 damage.

Thursday, Feb. 18

10:23 a.m.: A woman in the 12400 block of County Road EE was issued a summons for two dogs running loose.

3:36 p.m.: A man at the Ute Mountain Casino was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants.

Friday, Feb. 19

8:03 a.m.: A man in the 7500 block of County Road 40.5 in Mancos reported that vitamins worth $89.90 had been stolen from his mailbox.

Sunday, Feb. 21

5:01 a.m.: A driver was issued a summons for a broken taillight and no proof of insurance.

5:58 a.m.: An inmate at the Montezuma County jail was cited for second-degree assault on a law-enforcement officer after allegedly kicking two deputies.

Monday, Feb. 22

9:54 a.m.: A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at the Rio Grande Southern Hotel in Dolores and served a woman a summons for alleged harassment and disorderly conduct.

10:13 a.m.: A deputy served a warrant at the bond door of the Montezuma County jail.

9:11 a.m.: A deputy responded to a disturbance in the 28000 block of County Road T.5, but because of conflicting information, no arrests were made.

7:03 p.m.: A deputy responded to the scene of a collision between a Jeep and a car near Third St. and Railroad Ave. in Dolores. The deputy killed the elk, and a front-end loader put the carcass in a truck for consumption as meat.

Tuesday, Feb. 23

9:45 a.m.: A deputy took a man in custody who had been remanded by Montezuma County Court.

6:25 p.m.: A deputy responded to a disturbance report in the 6500 block of County Road 24 and arrested a man on an outstanding warrant.

Wednesday, Feb. 24

8:20 a.m.: A deputy arrested a man who turned himself in at the Montezuma County jail on an outstanding warrant.

Thursday, Feb. 25

4:29 p.m.: A deputy accompanied a man who picked up a vehicle from a woman at County Road S.7, who had a protection order in place.

Friday, Feb. 26

9:11 a.m.: A driver in the 20000 block of County Road G was issued a warning for driving 47 mph in a 40 mph zone and arrested on an outstanding warrant in Cortez.

11:24 a.m.: A woman in the 24000 block of County Road E.5 agreed to pay a neighbor for 17 dead chickens worth $25 each, and she was issued a summons for owning a dog that wasn’t under control, her second offense.

9:12 p.m.: A driver on U.S. 160 was pulled over near County Road G after allegedly crossing the median line and failing to signal. He was given a verbal warning, and a female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Feb. 27

12:12 p.m.: A driver in the 3000 block of County Road G was arrested for driving with a canceled/denied driver’s license and was given a warning about a temporary permit.

Sunday, Feb. 28

9:21 a.m.: A woman in the 3000 block of U.S. 160 was pulled over for a cracked windshield and ticketed for driving with a suspended license and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

9:54 a.m.: A woman in the 3000 block of County Road G was ticketed for displaying a suspended license plate, driving without a valid license, an obstructed windshield and no proof of insurance. Her female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:51 p.m.: A man in the 21500 block of County Road E was issued a summons for an uncontrolled dog after a neighbor reported it had killed two chickens worth a total of $100.
