6 p.m.: A man was given a summons for living in an RV in the 1000 block of Central Ave. in Dolores, a violation of a town ordinance.

12:28 p.m.: A man was given a summons for a dog that wasn’t under control and caused injury after it reportedly bit a bicyclist in the 18400 block of Colorado 145.
Saturday, May 21
3 a.m.: A man parked in an idling pickup truck was arrested at Eighth St. and Riverside Ave. in Dolores on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, operating a vehicle with a canceled driver’s license, and prohibited use of weapons. The following weapons were seized: a loaded .44 Magnum revolver, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, a loaded .17-caliber rifle, a box of 29 .44 Magnum cartridges, and a box of spent ammunition.
7:11 a.m.: A driver reported that she hit a concrete divider at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds because the sun was in her eyes. The van was damaged, but not the concrete divider.
6:16 p.m.: A resident in the 23200 block of County Road M reported that a man punched his mailbox, causing an estimated $100 in damage.
6:55 p.m.: A deputy cautioned a juvenile and his father about the danger of speeding in an ATV after a resident complained that the juvenile was driving an ATV at a high rate of speed in the 28000 block of County Road P.
Sunday, May 22
10:43 a.m.: A resident in the 14100 block of Colorado 145 was given a summons for an uncontrolled that caused injury after it reportedly bit a neighbor’s dog, causing fatal injuries and a $1,089 veterinarian bill.
Tuesday, May 24
9:40 a.m.: A man being treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital that he had accidentally shot himself in the arm while he and a friend were hanging out and drinking at a pond on his property on May 21 in the 15600 block of U.S. 491. He said that he thought he could “tough it out” without treatment until his arm began going numb.
Wednesday, May 25
2:43 p.m.: A man in the 6200 block of County Road 21 reported that he might have been the victim of a scam after he sent $10,500 to a phone caller who said that he owed $12,000 to the Internal Revenue Service. A deputy found that receipts from the Apple Inc. gift cards totaled $9,000, and that they could not be de-activated.
9:12 p.m.: A male driver was pulled over in the 13000 block of Colorado Highway 145 after allegedly swerving and cited for driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failing to provide proof of insurance and failing to drive in a single lane.

12 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma County Court.
Friday, May 27
6:44 a.m.: A male driver was pulled over in the 13000 block of County Road 25 and cited for driving while his license was under restraint. He was given a warning for allegedly driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone.
11 a.m.: A man reported that his mailbox had been stolen from a residence in the 18600 block of Colorado Highway 145.
9:42 p.m.: A male driver with defective license plate lamps was pulled over in the 4000 block of U.S. 160 and cited for displaying expired plates, no proof of insurance and no valid driver’s license
Saturday, May 28
12:27 p.m.: A female driver was pulled over near Main and Mildred streets after a deputy spotted an unrestrained child in the vehicle, and arrested the driver on an active warrant.
Sunday, May 29
12:21 a.m.: Deputies investigated a possible burglary in progress in the 17600 block of County Road 27.9 and arrested one suspect on warrants from Cortez and Arizona and on possible charges of criminal impersonation, obstructing a police officer, second-degree trespass and disorderly conduct. Another man was arrested on four active warrants and possible charges of second-degree trespass, obstructing a police officer and disorderly conduct. A search for additional suspects was fruitless. A Bureau of Indian Affairs dog alerted deputies to an SUV, but a search found no drugs inside.
3 p.m.: A woman reported that a window had been shot out at her residence in the 27300 block of County Road P.2. She placed the value of the window and window blind to be a total of $375.
10:36 p.m.: A male driver was pulled over at 11th Street and Railroad Ave. in Dolores and arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia, failing to display vehicle lights and taillights and failing to clearly display license plates.
Monday, May 30
8:40 p.m.: A male driver with unlighted headlights was pulled over in the 7000 block of U.S. 160 and cited for driving with a suspended license.
11:54 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief, domestic violence and violating a protection order after a reported disturbance in the 22000 block of County Road G.
