8:54 p.m. A deputy took a report from a woman for a missing license plate from her vehicle that was parked in the 46000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, March 25

10:31 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain lane while driving in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday, March 26

3:50 p.m. A deputy took a report for an assault on staff at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, April 4

8:38 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant in the 13000 block of Road 29.

7:22 p.m. A deputy at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., took a report detailing his investigation of a man who has failed to register his current address as a sex offender in the Montezuma County database. The deputy stated he would request for an arrest warrant and would cite the man for failing to register as a sex offender.

Monday, April 8

7:50 p.m. A deputy served four warrants to a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, April 9

3:44 p.m. A deputy issued a man driving a Jeep with no license plates a summons for drove vehicle without a valid driver’s license, failure to provide proof of insurance, and failed to display valid registration in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Wednesday, April 10

10:18 a.m. A deputy arrested a woman on a warrant who was turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:10 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:29 p.m. A deputy took a report from a woman about property damage to her vehicle in the 9000 block of Road 30.1.

Friday, April 12

7:46 p.m. A deputy took a report from a man who stated he hit a sign but he couldn’t remember where in the 26000 block of U.S. Highway 491. The deputy helped the man locate the area of the crash with the help of the Cortez Police and Colorado State Police. Colorado State Police issued the man a summons on the behalf of the Cortez Police.

11:20 a.m. A deputy took a report for a found bicycle at 1002 Railroad Ave.

1:39 p.m. A deputy took a report for an abandoned vehicle at 12275 Road 41.

11:19 p.m. A deputy took a report for a hit-and-run from a woman in the 25000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

Saturday, April 13

3:27 p.m. A deputy cited a semitrailer driver in the 11000 block of U.S. Highway 491, with reckless driving after two witnesses reported being forced of the road by the semitrailer.

10:58 p.m. A deputy took a report for his assistance at a rollover crash detailing his actions in supporting a woman’s neck who was still inside the rolled-over vehicle at 17000 Road G. The investigation was turned over to the Colorado State Patrol.

Sunday, April 14

4:25 p.m. A deputy took a report detailing his involvement and assistance to the Cortez Police Department for a reported DUI in progress on the northern stretch of Highway 491, the suspected vehicle was stopped by the reported caller at 717 S. Broadway, and Cortez officers took over the investigation.

Tuesday, April 16

9:12 a.m. A deputy took a report for a missing vehicle from a man in the 20900 block of U.S. Highway 491.
