12:37 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of DUI in the 4200 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, March 18

4:20 p.m. A deputy took a report for a found stolen city of Cortez vehicle in the 31000 block of Road L.

Tuesday, March 19

9:33 a.m. A deputy took a report for a possible stolen vehicle at the intersection of 22000 block of Road C.1 and U.S. Highway 160. The deputy reported that the license plate did not match the vehicle it was on.

2:14 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection order violation at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. A man was arrested on a warrant issued for violating a no-contact, no-exceptions protection order for making six phone calls from the jail to the protected party and for stopping at the residence of the protected party for his belongings.

5:05 p.m. A woman who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on two warrants and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:22 a.m. A woman who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:30 a.m. A deputy was requested for a civil standby between a contractor and a homeowner in the 19900 block of Road 21.4 in Lewis.

Thursday, March 21

11:48 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving in the 6800 block of Road 24.2.

3:12 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection-order violation at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll. The suspect a man in the custody of the jail was proved to have a recorded history of domestic violence against his wife and a previous protection order violation as stated in his report for his request of a warrant.

Friday, March 22

12:52 a.m. A deputy took a report for a suspicious vehicle at a check daily residence in the 23000 block of Road G.

10:10 a.m. A man who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:50 p.m. A deputy responded to a salesman’s call for a welfare check on a residence in the 20600 block of Road W. The deputy stated the caller reported that there were large quantities of flies around the door and windows of the residence, which seemed uncharacteristic to the otherwise clean-appearing residence. The deputy confirmed the report and entered the residence, and no body or evidence of any deceased individuals were found. The owner of the property was finally contacted after multiple phone calls and reported he was fine.

Sunday, March 24

12:30 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a firearm protection order and a shall not possess or consume alcohol protection order in the 13500 block of Road 29 after a deputy responded to a reported domestic violence call.
