Sunday, Feb. 18

6:57 a.m. A deputy took a report for a violation of a protection order in a domestic dispute in the 22000 block of Road N.

Monday, Feb. 19

5:45 p.m. A deputy arrested a passenger who fled the scene of a crash in the 43000 block of Colorado Highway 184.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

5:40 p.m. A deputy arrested a man for a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

7:59 p.m. A deputy took a report for a traffic incident involving a semitrailer and an excavator in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

7:19 a.m. A deputy took a report for a burglary in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 160, where a car and shed were broken into. The woman who witnessed the man in the shed reported she was missing her wallet from her car, and she remembered seeing the suspect holding a sign earlier when she was on her way to work that stated “coming soon Cortez psychic reader!” The sign was left on a table inside the shed.

12:15 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:59 p.m. A deputy took a report for a stolen vehicle in the 23400 block of Road X.

Thursday, Feb. 22

12:24 p.m. A deputy took a report for property damage that reportedly occurred in the 9900 block of Road BB. Shortly after taking the call, the deputy responded to a report of an accident involving the woman who reported property damage to her car. The deputy arrested the woman under suspicion of violating a non-harassing protection order and domestic violence. The woman had run accidentally into her ex-boyfriend’s car. The man her ex-boyfriend, kicked her car in response to being hit, he was arrested under suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence.

3:51 p.m. A deputy served three warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:21 p.m. A deputy took a report for an accidental machinery/industrial fire in the 20500 block of Road W, where a couple had finished welding in their garage and gone inside their home only to notice the smell of smoke nearby.

Friday, Feb. 23

4:28 a.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of criminal mischief, harassment, and domestic violence in the 18300 block of Colorado Highway 145.

1:14 p.m. A deputy took a report for larceny from a man in the 20200 block of Road 10, the man reported seven 16-foot gates and seven 12-foot gates missing from his property. The man called law enforcement after his neighbor called him to let him know his horses were out of his pasture and he saw that his gates were gone.

8:29 p.m. A man who was retrieving personal items and a bicycle in the 18300 block of Colorado Highway 145 was arrested under suspicion of violating a domestic violence protection order.

10:18 p.m. A deputy took a report for a possible protection order violation in the 25500 block of County Road F.

Saturday, Feb. 24

6:48 p.m. A woman was arrested under suspicion of violating a protection order in the 18300 block of County Road 27.

Sunday, Feb. 25

2:41 a.m. A deputy took a report for an agency assist involving a motorcycle accident in the 21000 block of County Road G.

8:29 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on three warrants in the 400 block of N. State Street.

7:34 p.m. A deputy took a report for damaged property in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, Feb. 26

11:58 a.m. A deputy arrested a man for a warrant, the man was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
