Thursday, Jan. 11

7:45 a.m. A deputy took a report for an aggravated assault on a family member, where a woman was reportedly struck in the head and hand with a metal flashlight in the 6400 block of Road 23.6.

Friday, Feb. 2

9:18 p.m. A deputy responded to a reckless driving report in the 15200 block of U.S. Highway 491. Upon locating and investigating the reported vehicle and driver, a man was arrested under suspicion of DUI.

Sunday, Feb. 4

6:52 p.m. A deputy took a report for an animal attack where both the victim and the owner of the dog decided to settle their case civilly in the 11500 block of Colorado Highway 145.

Monday, Feb. 5

11:52 a.m. A deputy took a report for identity theft in the 16200 block of Road 24.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

2:11 p.m. A deputy assisted New Mexico State Police and Navajo Police while they investigated a report of domestic violence at mile marker 2 on U.S. Highway 491.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

10:15 a.m. A deputy took a report for found property and placed it into evidence from a BLM officer at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:19 a.m. A deputy cited a man with speeding for driving 90 mph in a 65 mph zone, and reckless driving in the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Friday, Feb. 9

11:25 p.m. A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

Saturday, Feb. 10

5:26 p.m. A deputy took a report for found property and placed it into evidence from a man in the 25800 block of U.S. Highway 491.

5:59 p.m. A deputy arrested a man who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on three warrants.

Sunday, Feb. 11

9:34 p.m. A deputy took a report of crimes against persons regarding a green laser illuminating aircraft originating from approximately 5 miles north of the New Mexico state line in the Utah area from a man employed by the Denver Air Route Traffic Control.

Monday, Feb. 12

12:09 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman who was turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two warrants.

8:13 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman under suspicion of DUI in the 32000 block of Highway 160 in Mancos, where the woman had almost caused a head on collision with him.

Tuesday, Feb. 13

11:56 a.m. A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant and to serve out a 24 day jail sentence.
