11:51 a.m. A deputy took a report for larceny from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Hawkins St. in Cortez.

Sunday, Jan. 7

3:31 p.m. A deputy took a report for a traffic accident involving private property damage in the 10000 block of U.S. Highway 491, Cortez.

Friday, Jan. 12

4:44 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Baymont, 2279 Hawkins St.

Sunday, Jan. 14

7:47 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and cited with introduction of contraband in the first degree and a violation of a protection order stating shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances in the 5600 block of Road 25 in the South West County.

2:56 p.m. A deputy took a report of a livestock and animal problem where a dog was shot and the pack of dogs it was with were suspected to have terrorized and killed livestock in the 15000 block of Road 30 in Dolores.

5:09 p.m. A deputy took a report for a dog bite in the 10000 block of Road 29, in the South East County.

6:47 p.m. A deputy took a report for an animal problem in which two women were bitten by each other’s dogs when they were trying to separate them when they were fighting in the 11000 block of Road 39.2 in the northeast county.

2:46 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Thursday, Jan. 18

7:06 a.m. A deputy took a report for a domestic problem in the 28000 block of Road K.2 in the southeast county.

3:13 p.m. An officer took a report for found property for a bike in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 491.

Saturday, Jan. 20

8:42 a.m. A deputy cited a man with assault in the second degree after a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was suspected of assaulting multiple jail deputies.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

3:03 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant and transported him to be placed into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:36 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection order violation in the 42000 block of Road J.75 of the southeast county.
