Sunday, Nov. 15

4:06 p.m. A woman reported a man she met online stole 17 rings, a necklace, a bracelet, a jacket and a bottle of prescription Clonazepam from her residence at the Escalante Trailer Park in Dolores. The man was charged with theft.

Thursday, Nov. 19

4:27 p.m. Deputies responded to a vandalism call at a residence on the 25000 block of County Road T.5, where a mailbox was run over by a vehicle.

Friday, Nov. 20

10:31 a.m. A woman reported that a .22 rifle was stolen from her residence on the 25000 block of County Road H. She declined to cooperate with investigators.

9:02 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI, three counts of child abuse and possession of an illegal weapon after a traffic stop on the 18000 block of Colo. 145. Police seized brass knuckles and issued the driver a warning for a broken headlight. The driver was released at the jail to a family member.

9:30 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the Ute Mountain Ute Casino for two men in possession of contraband.

Saturday, Nov. 21

2:26 a.m. A man was arrested and charged with assault after he reportedly strangled his girlfriend in the couple’s residence on the 1400 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. The woman refused treatment.

9:50 a.m. A motorist was arrested on two outstanding warrants after a traffic stop for speeding, 80 in a 55 mph zone, on the 17000 block of Colo. 145. The driver was also ticketed for speeding and driving with a suspended license.

12:30 p.m. The Flying Pig in Dolores reported a theft. Four jade bracelets valued at $35 each and three necklaces valued at $50 each were reported stolen.

Sunday, Nov. 22

8:40 a.m. A man reported that his nephew attacked him at a residence on the 13000 block of County Road 32. He suffered soft tissue trauma in his mouth.

3:42 p.m. A woman reported that $30,000 in cash was stolen from a safe inside the trunk of her vehicle sometime in late August or September.

Monday, Nov. 23

5:05 p.m. A woman reported that a delivery package was opened and a bracelet and $20 in cash were missing.

8:06 p.m. A man in a “fragile medical condition” was released after officers found .8 grams of meth in his possession after a traffic stop near the Ute Mountain Ute Casino. The driver was stopped after a near-collision with a Bureau of Indian Affairs patrol car. The case was forwarded to prosecutors.

Tuesday, Nov. 24

1:05 p.m. A man arrested for an undisclosed offense was charged with contraband, drug possession and paraphernalia while being booked at the jail.

6:01 p.m. A man was arrested at a residence on the 28000 block of County Road K.2 on an outstanding warrant. The man was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
