6:26 p.m. Two women in the Family Dollar Store parking lot, 1009 Railroad Ave., backed their vehicles into each other.

Thursday, May 4

2:33 a.m. An officer found a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Handy Mart Gas Station, 806 S. Broadway. The vehicle had plates that did not belong to it. The woman who had been driving was cited with suspicion of violation of registration provisions. The man with her was arrested on two warrants and suspicion of aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Wednesday, May 10

7:49 a.m. A man in the 13900 block of Road 26 noticed two rifles and a range finder were missing from his truck. The man had left the keys in the ignition and the weapons on the seat.

Thursday, May 11

11:43 a.m. The housekeeping supervisor of the Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, found a bag of methamphetamine in one of the hotel rooms. The man and woman who were staying in the room were cited with possession of a controlled substance.

Friday, May 12

8:06 a.m. An officer found a stolen vehicle in the 22400 block of Road G and turned it over to the Cortez Police Department. The vehicle had damage to the rear end and a tire was blown out. There was a key on the ground next to the vehicle that belonged to a different vehicle that the officer collected.

Saturday, May 13

2:33 p.m. A man at the Narraguinnep Reservoir, 23201 Colorado Highway 148, was arrested on a failure to comply warrant.

Monday, May 15

2:36 p.m. A man in the 2100 block of Road 221.75 was arrested on a warrant.

Tuesday, May 16

3:17 p.m. A woman in the 9000 block of Road N was arrested on two warrants.

7:47 p.m. An officer found a stash can containing cannabis at Joe Rowell Park in Dolores, 94 Railroad Ave., and turned it over to evidence for destruction.

Thursday, May 18

4:15 p.m. A man who was hostile with the property owner of 14293 County Road 22 was served a trespass notice.

Friday, May 19

2:07 a.m. A man in the 10200 block of U.S. Highway 491 was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Saturday, May 20

6:25 p.m. A man noticed his mailbox in the 21500 block of Road S was damaged. An officer suspects someone put used fireworks to blow up the mailbox.

Monday, May 22

9:41 p.m. A physical fight between a man and woman in the 25500 block of Road F resulted in both being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment.

Tuesday, May 23

5:34 p.m. An officer served two warrants to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:55 p.m. A man in the 19200 block of Road P noticed his mailbox had been run over.
