Tuesday, March 21

1:06 p.m., A man in the 21200 block of County Road G noticed his firearm was missing. The fire, a 9mm handgun, was last seen by the man three months ago. The man believes his son stole the gun.

Tuesday, March 28

3:05 p.m., A man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., claimed the another man slapped him in the face. The other man claims he did not hit the man. Video footage had not been viewed at the time of the report.

Saturday, April 1

4:22 a.m., A person driving a silver truck hit a gas meter in the Vista Verde Trailer Park, 25260 U.S. Highway 160, and left the scene without reporting.

Wednesday, April 5

6:27 p.m., A man went to retrieve his vehicle from Dolores Hill, 17000 Colorado Highway 145 and found that it was not there. The man had left the vehicle on the hill after it died Monday, April 2. The man believes his vehicle was stolen by a former friend.

Saturday, April 8

5:36 a.m., A woman allegedly entered a home in the 21900 block of Road C.1, found a knife, and threatened to kill the residents. The home belongs to a an elderly man and woman who care for the woman’s two children. The woman appeared under the influence of a controlled substance when she was arrested. The children were present when she made the threats. The woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary, trespassing, cruelty toward children and intimidation.

Monday, April 10

8 a.m., A wallet was found in a snow bank by a woman near the intersection of Road 27.8 and Highway 184. The wallet was returned to the owner’s significant other.

Thursday, April 13

12:34 p.m., A woman in the 4500 block of Highway 160 was arrested on a warrant. She jumped a fence and ran from the officer, but when the officer also jumped the fence, the woman stopped and allowed herself to be arrested.

Friday, April 14

2:34 a.m., An officer supporting a Mancos Marshal’s deputy during a traffic stop in the 35000 block of U.S. Highway 160 arrested a woman passenger on a warrant. The man who was driving was arrested on a warrant and various other charges by the Mancos Marshall.

10:37 a.m., A man turned himself in on a warrant to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:30 p.m., A man was bit by a pig during a Catch the Pig event at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds 30100 U.S. Highway 160. The man did have to seek medical attention for the bite but requested no action be taken against the pig.

9:10 p.m., A man arguing with his parole officer in the parking lot of the Baymont Hotel in Cortez, 2279 Hawkins St., was arrested on seven warrants.

Sunday, April 16

7:46 p.m., A man who was assaulted in the 17200 block of Road G was arrested on suspicion of violating two protection orders that restricts the person from possessing or consuming alcohol. The man was later released when the booking officer found the man had the same name as the person from the protection orders, but had a different birthday.
