Saturday, Feb. 18

2:30 p.m., A man cross-country skiing on the Boggy Draw Trail left the trail and could not find his way back. The man’s wife reported him as lost, and an officer contacted the man by calling his cellphone. The man had followed a trail from U.S. Forest Service Road 527 to the area of Italian Reservoir. Search and Rescue found the man unharmed about 11 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

11:10 a.m., A front-end bumper was found stuck on a guardrail in the 25000 block of Road H. The owner was contacted in the 200 block of East Seventh Street in Cortez, and he stated his son had been driving. The son appeared to be intoxicated and stated he did not know how he wrecked. The investigation was handed over to Colorado State Patrol.

2:53 p.m., A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

3:19 p.m., A man backing up a semitrailer at The Travel Center, 1 E. Mike Wash Road, ran into a parked semitrailer. The man was cited for limitation on backing.

11:26 p.m., An argument between man and a woman in the 100 block of South Fifth Street in Dolores escalated to a physical fight. The woman threw water bottles at the man and hit him on the back of his head. The man threw a bag at the woman's face. The woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence.

Thursday, Feb. 23

10:34 p.m., A car rolled onto its passenger side near the intersection of Colorado Highways 145 and 184. The driver refused medical attention. A Colorado State Trooper took over the investigation and arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI. The officer stayed with the vehicle until a tow truck arrived as a firearm may have been inside.

Friday, Feb. 24

8:59 a.m., A woman in the 22100 block of Road S was shoved to the ground by her son when she was tried to break up a fight between him and her other son. The son who shoved her was arrested on two warrants.

9:22 a.m., A woman’s dog in the 28800 block of U.S. Highway 160 was attacked by her neighbor’s dogs. The neighbor was cited with having uncontrolled dogs and was told she needed to secure her dogs.

10:35 a.m., A man driving on Railroad Avenue ran off the road and hit the sign for the Dolores Chamber of Commerce, 201 Railroad Ave. He was cited with careless driving.

11:22 a.m., An officer served a failure-to-appear warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
