Thursday, Nov. 3

7:18 p.m., A woman reported someone had opened the back gate to her property in the 200 block of South Fifth Street and put shock collars on her dogs.

Thursday, Nov. 10

5:43 p.m., An officer was approached by a man in the 1000 block of Railroad Avenue and reported he hit a deer on the Dolores-Norwood Road.

Saturday, Nov. 19

1:23 p.m., A man in the 24000 block of County Road 18 was issued summons on suspicion of assault after his father reported getting hit by him in the face twice.

12:15 p.m., A teenager drove a car into the rear of another car parked in the lot of Dollar General, 23890 County Road G. The child left the scene at the request of their mother but later reported the incident. The victim’s vehicle could not be identified, so no charges were filed.

Sunday, Nov. 20

3:57 p.m., A man reportedly abused his dog in the 28300 block of road K.2 was served a warrant two days later, and the dog was taken by the Sheriff’s Office after an officer reviewed footage showing the man beat the dog in the head with an unidentifiable object.

4:08 p.m., A car matching the description of vehicle reported swerving was traveling east on County Road N near Road 25 when it was spotted by an officer. The officer followed the car nearly to the intersection of Colorado Highway 145 and pulled it over. The driver was reported to have been on prescribed medication. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

10:54 a.m., A man reportedly purchased a forklift from the Fun Center, 27688 U.S. Highway 160, with a $3,000 check from an account with insufficient funds. At the time of the report, a deputy was applying for two warrants for the man, for issuing a bad check and fraud by check.

2:30 p.m., A woman was remanded from the Montezuma County Court, 865 N Park St., into custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Nov. 24

8:22 a.m., A deputy served three warrants to someone in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Nov. 25

11:37 a.m., A man was reported to have been helping pack into his truck a woman’s belongings from her ex-boyfriends residence in the 21400 block of Road F when her ex-boyfriend started helping. When the man saw this he got a baseball bat out and hit the ex-boyfriend twice. As of the time of the report, the man has not been contacted.

Saturday, Nov. 26

1:11 p.m. A Bureau of Indian Affairs officer had detained a man with a warrant, and a sergeant with the Sheriff’s Office came and transported him to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Sunday, Nov. 27

8:45 a.m., A deputy served two warrants to someone in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Saturday, Nov. 28

2:50 p.m., A man was issued summons on suspicion of trespassing at the Baymont Motel, 2279 Hawkins St.

4:29 p.m., A deputy served a warrant to someone in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
