11:06 p.m. An employee reported that two bad checks were written to Cruzan Irrigation, 11049 U.S. Highway 491. A sergeant followed up with the couple that issued the checks.

Saturday, July 9

7:12 a.m. A woman was taken into custody on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:40 a.m. A woman reported that her friend took her motorcycle without her permission in the 25500 block of Road T. 5, Dolores. A deputy attempted to contact the friend.

Thursday, July 14

6:29 p.m. A dog was impounded at Cortez Animal Shelter after it attacked another dog in the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160. The owner of the dog was cited for having an aggressive dog.

Monday, July 18

9:08 a.m. A man reported that he sent $1,225 to a man who was supposed to ship him a rifle scope in the 18700 block of Road P, Lewis. The man never received the scope, and a sergeant attempted to contact the seller.

Tuesday, July 19

9:16 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:46 a.m. A deputy sought a warrant for a woman who allegedly cut her ex-boyfriend with a meat cleaver and sent him harassing text messages in the 23800 block of County Road G.

3:47 p.m. A woman was remanded at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

6:12 p.m. The woman who allegedly cut her ex-boyfriend with a meat cleaver was taken into custody on a warrant in the 23800 block of County Road G.

8:49 p.m. A man was cited for violating a restraining order after he texted a woman in the 27500 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Wednesday, July 20

9:15 a.m. A man was cited for harassment after his sister reported that he was harassing her and her children in the 100 block of North 20th Street, Dolores.

11:59 p.m. A man and a woman were served warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, July 21

3:05 p.m. A man was cited for careless driving after he scraped his truck against GST Liquors, 102 S. 11th St., Dolores.

Friday, July 22

4:33 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 30900 block of Road S, Mancos.

Saturday, July 23

12:07 p.m. A woman was bitten by a dog in the 10200 block of Road 28.2. No charges were pursued.

2:14 p.m. A woman was arrested and cited for drunken driving after she was pulled over for weaving and going very slow in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday, July 26

10:28 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:05 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of North State Street.

Wednesday, July 27

5:13 a.m. A bear reportedly pried open a trash can and ate some trash in the 200 block of North 19th Street, Dolores.
