Friday, April 29

9:06 a.m. Security footage showed a man shoplifting two packs of White Claw from a store at 501 Railroad Ave., Dolores. A deputy was reviewing the footage.

Monday, May 2

12:53 p.m. A witness reported a man forced his wife into a car at gunpoint in the 25300 block of County Road F. When deputies found the couple at their residence in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street, the woman apparently had two black eyes, was uncooperative and repeated that she doesn’t want her husband to get in trouble. The man was arrested on charges of domestic violence, menacing, second-degree kidnapping, reckless endangerment, first-degree assault and criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault.

5:05 p.m. A man reported that he lost his government-issued cellphone in the 24000 block of County Road M.

Sunday, May 8

1:53 a.m. A man was cited for drinking and driving after he was pulled over for crossing the center lane in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

8:11 p.m. A man was arrested on charges of drunken driving, speeding and having an open alcoholic container in the car after he was pulled over for speeding in the 3000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, May 9

8:33 a.m. A man reported that a bear was trying to get into his residence in the 1400 block of Merritt Way, Dolores. A bear trap was set.

Tuesday, May 10

1:06 p.m. A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, May 11

2:19 p.m. A husband and wife texted the husband’s mother despite a protection order that bans them from doing so. They were cited for violating the protection order at Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway.

10:34 p.m. A man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, May 12

7:27 a.m. A man reported witnessing possible domestic abuse on the roadside in the 10500 block of U.S. Highway 491. The man and woman involved claimed that nothing physical occurred. No charges were pursued.

9:02 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after he was pulled over for speeding in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Friday, May 13

2:29 a.m. A woman was cited for speeding and reckless driving after she was pulled over in the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Saturday, May 14

10:36 p.m. A car crash occurred in the 41000 block of U.S. Highway 160, Mancos. No charges were pursued.

Sunday, May 15

9:11 a.m. A deputy responded to a disturbance in the 28300 block of Road K.2. Apparently a verbal argument had occurred between a couple. No charges were pursued.

10:17 p.m. A deputy assisted a trooper as he took a man into custody for suspected drunken driving in the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, May 16

1:02 p.m. A woman turned herself in on an outstanding warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
