6:52 a.m. A woman reported that her house was on fire in the 29000 block of Road J.6. She suspected the fire started because of her faulty water heater.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

6:40 p.m. A detention deputy reported that a female inmate was found with meth upon intake at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. No citations were issued.

Thursday, Feb. 24

10:11 a.m. Surveillance footage reportedly showed someone stealing a utility terrain vehicle valued at $19,339.92 in the 14200 block of County Road G. There were no leads.

3:05 p.m. A man reported that someone stole $970 worth of property in the 9500 block of Road 29.2. There were no leads.

Saturday, Feb. 26

10:23 a.m. A woman reported that she and her mother were bitten by their dog while trying to break up a dogfight in the 31800 block of County Road R.

Monday, Feb. 28

12:24 p.m. A deputy was attempting to serve a man a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender at his last known address in the 18600 block of Colorado Highway 145.

3:31 p.m. A man was cited for having out-of-control dogs after they attacked another dog at the Dolores Animal Hospital, 100 S. Sixth St.

4:02 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and assaulting a peace officer in the 24000 block of Road G.2.

8:10 p.m. A female inmate was cited for second-degree assault on a peace officer after surveillance footage showed her throwing a urine soaked towel at a detention deputy at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, March. 1

8:07 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after a deputy pulled him over for driving sporadically in the 10200 block of Colorado Highway 491.

3:31 p.m. A woman was served a warrant and remanded at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Wednesday, March 2

8:59 a.m. A man who was at the scene of a vehicle fire in the 10200 block of County Road G was arrested on 13 outstanding warrants.

9:24 a.m. A nurse reported that a woman was bit by her dog after the dog was hit by a car 25600 block of County Road P.

5:19 p.m. A woman reported assault in the 18700 block of Colorado Highway 145. Each party had contradicting stories. Trespass notices were issued for all.

6:42 p.m. A deputy was dispatched for a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of County Road 25 and Forest Road 271. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody on three outstanding warrants.

Monday, March 3

11:46 p.m. A woman showed a deputy photographs of her neighbor’s dog on the loose in 13000 block of Road 28. The owner of the dog was cited for having an-out-of-control dog.

3:36 p.m. A man reported that he accidentally shot himself in the ankle while trying to unload and reload his gun in the 14000 block of County Road 37.

6:32 p.m. A man was taken into custody on outstanding warrants after he was pulled over for having a broken headlight in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores.

Tuesday, March 4

6:02 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after she allegedly crossed the double yellow line, almost colliding with a patrol vehicle, in the 40000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Friday, March 6

7:47 a.m. A man was taken into custody on outstanding warrants after a deputy received an anonymous tip on his whereabouts in the 25500 block of Road T.5.

1:43 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:53 p.m. A female inmate was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:31 p.m. A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a deputy pulled him over for having broken headlights and taillights.

3:39 p.m. Deputies attempted to contact the owner of a suspicious vehicle before towing it in the 14000 block of County Road 33.

Sunday, March 8

4:21 p.m. A woman was arrested on outstanding warrants after a car she was in was pulled over for speeding in the 22000 block of County Road G.
