Wednesday, Aug. 18

12:39 a.m. A fire of undetermined origin was reported in the 17000 block of County Road 30 in Dolores.

Monday, Aug. 23

10:53 a.m. A deputy responded to a call about a two-vehicle collision, but the drivers had left the scene. Three days later, a driver reported the crash to the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, saying that drivers had exchanged insurance information and would pay for the damage themselves.

Sunday, Aug. 29

10:05 a.m. A woman who lives in the 6600 block of County Road 25 reported that her husband broke her vehicle window with the butt of a BB gun and slashed her wrist with a knife. The husband was not immediately located for questioning.

Monday, Aug. 30

6:30 a.m. A deputy observed a northbound vehicle on County Road 31 that was traveling at a high rate of speed skid off the road and hit a guardrail, damaging 50 feet of the guardrail. The driver left the scene. The deputy followed up with the Colorado State Patrol, and on Sept. 1 assisted CSP’s investigation.

Tuesday, Aug. 31

10:19 a.m. A woman was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St and taken to jail.

11:08 a.m. A man was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. and taken to jail.

3:35 p.m. A man reported that an overgrown irrigation ditch that runs through his property, in the 27100 block of Road P.7, was overflowing onto his leach field and garden. A deputy contacted the man who owns the most water shares connected to the ditch and informed him that it was his responsibility to clean out the ditch. The man said he would clean it in March 2022.

10:54 a.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

Thursday, Sept. 2

8:25 a.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

3:30 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

4:39 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

Friday, Sept. 3

11:56 p.m. man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

9:36 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

6:17 p.m. Two men were served warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and taken into custody.

Sunday, Sept. 5

12:28 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive in Towaoc, and after medical clearance at Southwest Memorial Hospital, was jailed.

Monday, Sept. 6

10:08 a.m. A deputy retrieved a lost wallet at the Sheriff’s Office substation in Dolores, 420 Central Ave., and returned it to its owner.

4:21 p.m. A Toyota Corolla with Arizona license plates and a Jeep Liberty with Colorado plates collided in the 33000 block of Colorado Highway 184. Both drivers declined medical attention, and Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.
