7:27 a.m. A truck was vandalized and a residence was burglarized in the 24100 block of County Road L. Several firearms and money were stolen from the residence.

Thursday, July 22

3:39 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of careless driving after a crash investigation in the 1300 block of Railroad Avenue.

Friday day, June 23

10:07 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of second-degree assault (strangulation), false imprisonment and domestic violence in the 25000 block of County Road F.2. He allegedly choked and hit a woman and tried to prevent her from leaving the residence.

Saturday, July 24

3:21 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of careless driving after a crash investigation in the 400 block of Hillside Drive.

Monday, July 26

4:27 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of careless driving after a crash investigation in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue. She allegedly pulled out in front of another vehicle.

7:07 p.m. An ATV was stolen in the 14500 block of County Road 29.

1:48 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:30 a.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

1:47 p.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant in the 24000 block of County Road G.2.

4:45 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of driving with a revoked license in the 200 block of East Main Street.

6:47 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:40 a.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:17 p.m. A woman was arrested on multiple active warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:42 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:30 p.m. A female inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, July 30

7 a.m. A fifth-wheel trailer caught fire in the 24400 block of County Road G.1. An investigation determined the cause to be a man falling asleep while smoking and on oxygen.

9:24 a.m. Theft was reported in the 5600 block of U.S. Highway 160. A woman allegedly burned a man’s belongings and stole six guitars, two amps and some tools.

Saturday, July 31

3:37 p.m. A vehicle caught fire and the fire spread to nearby brush in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 160. Cortez Fire Department extinguished the fire.
