Friday, June 4

2:41 p.m. An abandoned vehicle that appeared to have been involved in a crash was investigated in the 22500 block of County Road 31. The owner could not be located.

Friday, June 11

4:10 p.m. A woman allegedly entered a residence without permission and hit the walls with a metal pipe multiple times, causing damage, in the 28300 block of County Road K.2. She had already been arrested on unrelated charges. She also was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief and first-degree burglary.

Monday, June 14

8:43 p.m. A man will be cited on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 800 block of Central Avenue. He could not be immediately located when the complaint was made.

Tuesday, June 15

8:57 a.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant and on suspicion of criminal mischief after allegedly throwing a rock at a woman’s vehicle in the 24200 block of County Road L.5.

Wednesday, June 16

10:16 p.m. A man’s neighbor allegedly harassed him in the 24000 block of County Road F.5.

Thursday, June 17

9:26 a.m. Fraudulent financial charges were reported in the 38500 block of County Road K.4.

4:39 p.m. A man was arrested on four active warrants during an investigation of a disturbance in the 9600 block of County Road 29.

Friday, June 18

7:10 p.m. An arrest warrant was requested for a man on suspicion of violating bond conditions, third-degree assault, violating a protection order and domestic in the 6600 block of County Road 25.

Saturday, June 19

6:53 a.m. A possible restraining order violation was reported in the 28300 block of County Road K.2. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Sunday, June 20

12:40 p.m. A female inmate was charged with third-degree assault after an altercation with another inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:38 p.m. A vehicle crash occurred in the 31500 block of County Road S. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

Monday, June 21

7:01 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant in the 28300 block of County Road K.2.

Tuesday, June 22

12:43 a.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 29000 block of Colorado Highway 184.

3:57 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted involving a vehicle suspected of being related to a domestic violence incident in the 400 block of North State Street. The occupants were released after giving statements.

5:17 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:04 p.m. Police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 18300 block of Colorado Highway 145. An investigation determined there was no criminal behavior.

Wednesday, June 23

11:24 a.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant during an investigation of a break-in in the 100 block of North Fifth Street. The report of a break-in was unfounded.

2:37 p.m. While cleaning his vehicle, an officer found a baggie of meth and later destroyed it at Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:14 p.m. An arrest warrant was requested for a man on suspicion of violating bond condition, third-degree assault, violating a protection order and domestic violence in the 24200 block of County Road E.5.

7:39 p.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center bonds window, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:55 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, June 24

7:51 a.m. Medication was reported stolen in the 5700 block of County Road 25.

10:09 a.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center bonds window, 730 E. Driscoll St.

150 p.m. A warrant was requested for a man on suspicion of protection order violation and violating bond conditions in the area of Weeminuche Drive.

2:19 p.m. A male inmate was a served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:16 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of speeding, reckless driving, failure to provide proof of insurance and driving without a valid license in the 30000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

9:51 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se in the 6000 block of County Road 21.

Friday, June 25

8:26 a.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of having a dog not under control in the 700 block of Hillside Avenue. The dog allegedly escaped a fence and killed chickens.

12:53 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of careless driving in the 1100 block of Central Avenue. She allegedly almost struck a pedestrian.

10:12 p.m. An officer assisted with a domestic violence investigation in the 2400 block of Hawkins Street. Cortez Police took over the investigation.

Saturday, June 26

3:46 p.m. A male inmate was cited on suspicion of violating a restraining order at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. He allegedly had another inmate contact a woman who was protected against him.

Monday, June 28

8:52 a.m. A crash occurred in the 22500 block of County Road 31. A trailer disconnected from a truck, rolling and flipping upside down, and two horses were trapped in the trailer. A firefighter was struck in the knee by one of the horses while attempting to extricate them. The horses were eventually freed.

9:21 a.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:44 a.m. Check fraud was reported in the 11500 block of County Road 29.

5:21 p.m. A man turned himself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center bonds window, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:46 p.m. A male inmate was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. He allegedly damaged his cell.
