9:15 p.m. A deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The woman driving was issued a proof of service form for driving with a revoked license. The vehicle was released to the woman’s husband.

Monday, Dec. 9

3:23 p.m. A deputy took a phone report of a reported theft in the 29400 block of County Road N. A woman reported a missing video game from her Amazon package.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

1:10 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue three active warrants to a male inmate.

1:17 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue three active warrants to a male inmate.

1:21 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to remand a woman to Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Dec. 19

11:39 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 6400 block of U.S. Highway 160 to take a report of a stolen vehicle. A man reported missing items from his truck.

Friday, Dec. 20

4:34 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll, to serve an active warrant to a female inmate.

Saturday, Dec. 21

1:03 a.m. A deputy was requested by another county agency to help document the homeless encampments south and southwest of the intersection of Seventh Street and Sligo Street. The officer flew drone in a grid pattern to document the homeless encampments.

Thursday, Dec. 26

4:51 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the River Bar and Grill, 1319 Railroad Ave., in Dolores to about a two-vehicle crash. The vehicles suffered only minor damage.

Saturday, Dec. 28

2:19 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Montezuma Avenue about a possible disturbance. A man and a woman had been in a physical fight. The woman was arrested for domestic violence and harassment. She was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Sunday, Dec. 29

4:42 p.m. A deputy was called to the Family Dollar, 1009 Railroad Ave., in Dolores about a reported theft. The deputy filed a report of a woman caught on a video tape taking a trash can full of items out of the emergency exit without paying for them. An instigation continues.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

8:50 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center to issue three active warrants to a male inmate.

9:44 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to remand a man into custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Jan. 2

4:09 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to 12400 block of County Road 21 near Lewis about a missing person. A man who appeared to be intoxicated and argumentative reported a man missing behind a residence who “would freeze to death” if not found. The previous day, an accident had occurred in the area, and the man reported missing had been transported to a hospital. The man who reported the missing man was issued a trespass notice barring him from the property.

Friday, Jan. 3

10:04 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to a report of harassment at the Skyline gas station, 27963 Colorado Highway 184. A man was arrested for an active warrant out of Nevada. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Sunday, Jan. 5

11:54 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., about possible found contraband. An envelope was discovered with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. It could not be determined who was in possession of the envelope.

Monday, Jan. 6

12:31 a.m. A deputy was called to the 5900 block of County Road 41 about a possible structure fire. When the deputy arrived the structure was fully engulfed. The fire is under investigation

12:06 p.m. A deputy was called to the 12700 block of U.S. Highway 491 about a violation of a protection order. A deputy was shown a cellphone with 56 text messages from a man who was banned from contacting a woman. The deputy sought an arrest warrant for the man.

1:26 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center it issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

2:04 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center it issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

10:44 a.m. A deputy stopped a red Ford Focus in the 14000 block of Colorado Highway 145 for an expired registration. The woman driving was issued a summons for operating a vehicle with expired plates and driving a motor vehicle without insurance.

1:58 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores about a reported burglary. Someone had tried to take a coin changer but only managed to take a rug from a business. The activity was caught on a surveillance camera.

2:04 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to remand a woman into custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

3:20 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to serve two active warrants to a man. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

5:49 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a female inmate.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

11:11 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

3:52 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., about a combative person. When the deputy arrived, a man was on the ground with a jail deputy on top of him. The man had fallen in the parking lot, and when a jail deputy checked on him, he began fighting with the jail deputy. He reportedly told the deputy, “I am going to kill you before you get to your gun.” The deputy assisted the jail deputy in arresting the man. He was charged with menacing and obstructing a peace officer and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

5:05 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 21700 block of County Road S about a reported theft. A woman reported a stolen Amazon package. The deputy listed the case as inactive because of a lack of leads.

Thursday, Jan. 9

1:51 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve an active warrant to a male inmate.

9:10 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to serve an active warrant to a man. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

12:11 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 9400 block of County Road 27 about a report of property damage. The back door of a vacant home had been kicked in. A woman said no other damage had been done to the home, and it was exactly as she had left it a few days before. The deputy filed a report about the incident.

6:18 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve an active warrant to a male inmate.

Friday, Jan. 10

3:05 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to remand a man into custody. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
