Thursday, Aug. 15

5:41 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Ute Mountain Ute Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, in Towaoc about a report of a theft. A man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a wallet. En route to the Montezuma County Detention Center the man complained of chest pain and appeared to go unconscious. The deputy pulled over and began administering aid to the man and called for emergency medical personnel. They arrived and treated the man and he was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where he was coherent. He was issued a summons to appear in court on suspicion of theft. He was left at the hospital.

Saturday, Aug. 17

8:22 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 2400 block of Trinity Avenue about a possible drunken driver. A female suspect was approached who stumbled while she walked and told the deputy she had been drinking. The woman failed roadside sobriety tests. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. At Montezuma County Detention Center, a breath analysis showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.170. She was left in custody of the jail.

8:45 p.m. A deputy on patrol in the 3400 block of U.S. Highway 160 observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. The deputy stopped the vehicle and issued the female driver a summons for speeding from 25 to 39 mph above the speed limit.

Sunday, Aug. 18

11:39 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 12000 block of County Road 40 near Mancos on a report of a vehicle with no license plates. The deputy identified the vehicle and noted it appeared to have been stripped and appeared inoperable. The vehicle was discovered to have been stolen in Fountain, Colorado. The vehicle was towed to an impounding yard.

8:26 p.m. A deputy patrolling in the 19000 block of U.S. Highway 491 saw a Dodge pickup pulling a boat trailer being operated in a reckless manner. The pickup almost caused two accidents while the deputy attempted to pull it over. Once pulled over, the driver’s eyes appeared bloodshot and watery and the deputy smelled alcohol on the man’s breath. The man was issued a summons for driving under the influence, no operating tail light, speeding 80 mph in a 65 mph zone, and reckless driving. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Monday, Aug. 19

11:20 a.m. A deputy was called to the 27500 block of County Road P about a report of a theft on piece of agricultural equipment. The deputy filed a report about an end cap missing on a side roller. The deputy took a picture for the report he filed.

5:01 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 10700 block of County Road 19 on a report of a stolen weapon. A 9 mm handgun was found in a vehicle that didn’t belong to the vehicle’s owner. A man was arrested on suspicion of theft, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

10:35 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 31300 block of County Road L about a complaint of a barking dog. The deputy issued a summons to a woman for not having a dog under control.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

1:48 a.m. A deputy was called to the West Maverick Convenience Store, 10223 U.S. Highway 491 about a report of a lost wallet. The deputy filed a report based on a report from a man who said the business was the last place where he knew he had his missing wallet.

8:03 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 12100 block of Colorado Highway 145 about a report of threats. A man had told several people he was “going to blow their heads off” because of noise they were making. The man apologized to the people he threatened and said he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. The man was issued a summons for menacing, and he told the deputies he was grateful he was not being arrested. He offered to buy the deputies lunch, but the deputies told him they were not allowed to accept gifts of monetary value.

4:29 p.m. A deputy was dispatched on a remand to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. A woman was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

8:28 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant to a man. The man was arrested for failure to comply with a bond and was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

9:45 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant to a man. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

9:53 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. to issue five active warrants to a male inmate.

12:54 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center to issue an active warrant to a female inmate.

Thursday, Aug. 22

8:39 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of North 20th Street in Dolores about a disturbance. A man was arrested for violating a protection order. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

10:12 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 20000 block of County Road 19 on a report of a violation of a protection order. A woman was arrested on domestic violence, violation of a protection order and harassment. She was left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Aug. 23

8:58 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 24100 block of County Road G about a man with an active warrant out of Larimer County. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Saturday, Aug. 24

11:12 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of County Road S about a possible underage party driving a vehicle. The deputy stopped a Jeep Wrangler with several people inside. The driver, who had bloodshot eyes and a slight odor of alcohol, said he had to leave a party because a possible fight was about to occur. A man was issued a summons for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
