Wednesday, Aug. 1

8:40 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combine Courts, 865 N. Park St.

9:53 a.m.: A couple had an argument at Vista Verde Village, in the 28600 block of U.S. Highway 160, and the husband allegedly threw a phone into the yard. A deputy helped find the phone, but did not have probable cause for an arrest, and no charges were filed.

1:20 p.m.: A woman at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served four warrants for failing to appear in court and one for failing to comply with a court order.

12:36 p.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served two warrants for failing to appear in court and one for failing to comply with a court order.

4:27 p.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failing to appear in court.

Thursday, Aug. 2

8:59 a.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failing to comply with a court order.

9:54 a.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failing to comply with a court order.

10:05 a.m.: A man was arrested on charges of menacing and domestic violence in 200 block of North 15th Street in Dolores after allegedly tearing a woman’s clothes, chasing her down an alley with a bow and arrow and threatening to kill her. A deputy and the sheriff recovered the bow and arrow during a search.

12:24 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:48 p.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant for failing to appear in court.

10:56 p.m.: A man in the 14000 block of U.S. Highway 491 was cited for driving 93 mph in a 65 mph zone and driving without a license.

Friday, Aug. 3

7:26 p.m.: A man was cited in the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 16 for failing to display valid registration, financial responsibility and a driver’s license.

Saturday, Aug. 4

11:43 a.m.: A woman who lives in the 23600 block of County Road N was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court.

3:49 p.m.: A wallet containing $234 in cash was found at the Base Camp in Dolores, 1110 Railroad Ave., and returned to its owner.

5:50 p.m.: A deputy assisted a Colorado State Patrol officer in the 7000 block of County Road 25 who was conducting roadside sobriety tests.

11:43 p.m.: A man at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds, 30100 U.S. Highway 160, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court. He said he was walking to Durango.

Sunday, Aug. 5

11:05 a.m.: A man who lives in the 36100 block of County Road K.3 was cited with unlawful ownership of a dangerous animal – the man’s third dog-related summons – after his dog allegedly killed two of his neighbor’s chickens and a turkey. The dog bared his teeth at the deputy, who drew his gun.

Monday, Aug. 6

11:34 a.m.: A man who lives in the 36100 block of County Road K.3 was cited with not having his dog under control and with unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog after his dog allegedly killed two of his neighbor’s chickens and a turkey. It was the man’s second summons for owning a dangerous dog in two days, and was allegedly the dog’s second attack in two days.

4:43 p.m.: A man reported that his mailbox in the 12900 block of U.S. Highway 491, had been damaged. While the man and a deputy talked, a third man pulled up on a hay baler and said that he hit it and would pay for the damage, estimated at $90.

5:05 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was remanded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
