9:09 p.m. A vehicle passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop near County Road F.75 and County Road 24.8.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

12:12 a.m. A woman reported that her truck was stolen from the Ute Mountain Casino after giving her keys to a friend. The vehicle was recovered in Aztec, N.M.

Sunday, Nov. 1

8:13 a.m. A resident on the 1300 block of U.S. 491 reported an Internet scam by fastheal.net. The man reportedly sent the company a $1,500 money order.

Monday, Nov. 2

6:57 a.m. A motorist was ticketed for speeding, 52 in a 40 mph zone, and driving without a license near the 8000 block of County Road H.

11:25 a.m. A motorist reported a hit and run on the 100 block of 11th Street in Dolores. Damage estimates were undisclosed.

3:07 p.m. A motorist reported a hit and run on the 18000 block of Colo. 145. Damage estimates were undisclosed.

10:28 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for defective license plate lamps and driving with a suspended license near the 3000 block of U.S. 160.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

10 a.m. A Colorado Department of Wildlife official requested backup to serve a summons for menacing to a resident on the 22000 block of County Road 23. The property owner had reportedly harassed hunters.

2:07 p.m. A woman was arrested on three outstanding warrants at the Rio Grande Hotel.

6:25 p.m. A woman was ticketed for reckless driving and child abuse after neighbors at the Trailer Park Court in Dolores complained about erratic driving. Empty beer bottles were observed in the vehicle. The woman admitted that she was upset after picking up her daughter.

7:56 p.m. A man was arrested and charged with assault and domestic violence after a physical confrontation at a residence on the 6300 block of U.S. 160. A woman reported that she was pushed, hit and choked after attempting to keep her intoxicated boyfriend from driving.

Wednesday, Nov. 4

4:15 p.m. A Montezuma Valley Irrigation employee turned in a Colorado Department of Wildlife backpack found near Moonlight Ditch on County Road W.4.

4:22 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, running a stop sign and careless driving after a traffic stop near the 6000 block of U.S. 160. The driver also had two outstanding warrants.

Thursday, Nov. 5

4:14 p.m. A man was arrested on three outstanding warrants on the 900 block of South Broadway.

5:32 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for lack of insurance, suspended license plate, lack of registration and no child restraint after a traffic stop for failing to dim high beams near the 7000 block of U.S. 160.

7:48 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to use a turn signal after a traffic stop at G-Whil Liquor Store.

Friday, Nov. 6

4:31 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI, violating a protection order, violating bond conditions and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop near North Beech Street and U.S. 160 in Mancos.

Saturdday, Nov. 7

3:31 p.m. A man reported stolen solar batteries valued at $2,072 from a residence on the 19000 block of County Road 31.

8:13 p.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle crash near mile marker 30 on U.S. 160. Only one vehicle was reported on the scene. The driver reported that he had pulled over when struck by another vehicle. The driver also reportedly requested then refused medical treatment. The accident was later turned over to the Colorado State Patrol.

11:18 p.m. Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol after a vehicle struck a tree on the 7000 block of County Road 41. A .45-caliber handgun was seized. No information was provided about the driver.

Sunday, Nov. 8

1:06 a.m. Deputies responded to assist with a structure fire on the 12000 block of County Road 32. No injuries were reported.

4:04 p.m. A man reported finding a bicycle near County Road G and County Road 25.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

11:45 a.m. A woman reported a reckless driver on the 22000 block of County Road 15. The driver reportedly swerved toward her vehicles and a cow and ran over several deer.

5:30 p.m. A deer was euthanized after being struck by a vehicle on the 29000 block of U.S. 160.

10:00 p.m. A woman reported receiving a phone call from the Eagle County Sheriff’s Department demanding cash for an outstanding warrant. An investigation revealed that (970) 571-3229 had been connected to a phone scam. The woman was encouraged to file a report with the FBI.

Wednesday, Nov. 11

12:45 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, failure to yield and expired tags near the intersection of Mildred and Jackson streets.

Thursday, Nov. 12

9:07 p.m. A motorist was ticketed for speeding, 48 in a 40 mph zone, and suspended drivers license after a traffic stop on the 24000 block of County Road G.

Friday, Nov. 13

1:57 p.m. A motorist was stopped for speeding, 5 to 9 miles over the posted speed limit, along the 15000 block of U.S. 149. After giving consent for law enforcement to search the vehicle, the teenage driver was ticketed for illegal possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and speeding.

11:36 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a residence on the 29000 block of County Road J.6.

Monday, Nov. 16

8:01 p.m. A motorist was stopped on the 30000 block of U.S. 160 after a deputy noticed that snow was obstructing the license plate. The driver was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and lack of insurance and given a verbal warning about the license plate.

8:55 p.m. A motorist was arrested and charged with DUI after police found the vehicle parked on the side of the road along the 28000 block of U.S. 160. Deputies noted that burnt marijuana could be smelled inside the vehicle.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

11:30 a.m. A man reported that a woman was unwelcome in his home on the 1900 block of Hillside Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies noted the woman crawled through a window to evade authorities. She was issued a trespass notice.
